Abstract

In recent years,education has been playing an increasingly important role in economy, society,and human development.This,together with a substantial increase in data available and the gradual improvement of research methods,has led to a boom in economics of education research.This study examined all the articles published in Economics of Education Review from 2008to 2012. Through a quantitative analysis of issue time,regional distribution,academic leaders,research collaboration,citations,impact factor and academic influence,and research topics,the international academic approaches to economics of education research were discussed.
