The textbook describes the structure of the microbiological laboratory, the basic requirements for premises and equipment, types of protective suits for personnel, general occupational safety requirements before, during and after work. The main measures carried out during the localization of emergency situations in the laboratory are considered; general information is given on the rules of operation and cleaning of laboratory premises; basic means and methods of disinfection are presented; requirements for zoological and entomological work are listed; quality control of all laboratory systems, nutrient media and reagents, as well as methods of processing and disinfection of materials during serological and genetic diagnostic studies. The list of pathogenic biological agents by pathogenicity groups and disinfection modes of objects infected with pathogenic microorganisms according to SanPiN 3.3686-21 are given.
